Gladiator Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd was established in 2020 by two Johannesburg businessmen with more than sixty years of international entrepreneurial experience.
The Company was founded to manufacture, from scratch, enhanced options in laundry and multipurpose soap bars.
Out of this, the Egoli Soaps brand was developed. The product is produced using a proprietary formula comprised of high quality dolomite, sodium hydroxide, sodium silicate, soda ash, sodium chloride, STPP, vegetable oil, beef tallow/lard and scents.
An inhouse budget packaging strategy is employed to maintain a minimum non-core peripheral cost, given the early stages in the product lifecycle. Buyers are free to specify product and bulk packaging as well as apply their own branding.
Gladiator Manufacturing produces bar soaps using hot or cold press saponification, milling, noodlization, press-molding, cut-to-size, brand stamping when necessary, and individual and carton packaging.
The soap bars are produced in various colours and in 250g, 500g and 1kg bars, with various applications ranging from general housekeeping use, kitchen utensils and laundry, etc. The range will expand organically and in terms of the Company’s formalized ‘critical mass’ strategy to encompass a wider range of uses including hospitality, health and beauty and industrial applications.
Minimum orders start from two tons – our pricing model is focused on affordability for all income groups.
Perhaps most importantly, our soaps’ antibacterial properties – a design priority – is not compromised. Current times, with the emphasis on safe, clean and hygienic environments, demand that we place priority on this above all else. We regard it as a sacrosanct act of corporate responsibility to help ensure the wellbeing and good health of our consumer and end-user collective.
